Air Conditioning Service and Repair
When auto Air Conditioning systems break down summer days can get miserable but that's not the worst part. A broken Air Conditioning system can and does leak refrigerant. Not only is refrigerant harmful to the environment but it's also harmful to your car's A/C system. Getting a car air conditioner service at the first sign of trouble will save you both money and time.
Usually, the only time people bring their car in for A/C service, is when it’s not working up to par. If the problem is caught early it can be corrected it before causing damage to other A/C components. If your AC in your car just isn’t as good as it used to be, you may have low refrigerant pressure. Depending on the situation this can be as easy as recharging your system or it may indicate a leak somewhere in your car air conditioning system. Because refrigerant also contains a lubricant for the compressor, running air conditioning systems with low coolant levels can cause compressor failure. When an AC compressor fails it can shed pieces of itself and run them through the condenser, hoses, accumulator and evaporator; creating a buildup of parts and refrigerant which will quickly cause much more costly damage than refilling our AC system with refrigerant.
