I went in at 2:30 pm on a monday thinking I needed new brake pads on my Hyundai Tiburon. John was very friendly and said they'd do a brake inspection for $15 dollars then call and let me know what they found. At 4 I got a call saying the problem was with how the wheels were put back on by my previous mechanic and was now fixed. in the end, I picked up my car at 4:30 same day, paid only $15, and he even listed several other issues found during the description. Great mechanic!

Honest, knowledgeable, friendly, what else would you want from your mechanic? 4 stars only because the cost wasn't free. ;-). Car repair is expensive anywhere you go! Talk to John, he'll take good care of you and your car.

John at Complete Automotive is, as my friend puts it, a "righteous dude". He's a kind, friendly and an honest business owner and mechanic. We took our 1999 Nissan Sentra with 320,000+ miles into John when it wouldn't turn over. We were on our way to catch a train south that afternoon, ironically to borrow a back up car, so the timing couldn't have been worse. He was very accommodating under our stressed circumstances. Complete Automotive is currently owned by the Archer Family. The family purchased the business May 2024 from John. Brian Archer is the CEO and operator of the business. He has 35 years experience in the automotive industry in San Luis Obispo. Brian has owned a car detailing company, built car washes, managed prominent auto repair shops and The Tire Store in San Luis Obispo. We pride ourselves on customer service, including having the customers needs and budget as our #1 priority.
